As part of the European Commission's efforts to strengthen gender equality across the European Research Area, applications are now open for the EU Award for Gender Equality Champions 2026.
The award recognises organisations that demonstrate outstanding achievements in implementing and promoting gender equality in research and innovation. It is also designed to reinforce and complement the implementation of Gender Equality Plans (GEPs) under Horizon Europe, the EU's main funding programme for research and innovation.
Through this initiative, organisations that achieve a meaningful impact through the implementation of GEPs are recognised as role models for others, while contributing to greater equality and inclusion across the European Research Area.
The call is open to organisations active in the fields of research and innovation that are committed to fostering a more modern and inclusive research and innovation ecosystem.
