Description and purpose of the Research Infrastructure
Mission: Protect public health and promote Good Agricultural Practices, Food Safety and relevant policies according to the EU Food Legislation. Objectives: Contribution to the improvement of Quality of life through the provision of reliable and high quality services, constant development and excellence. Main priorities: (1) Compliance Control, Monitoring and Surveillance Programmes (2) National Reference Laboratory (NRL) for Mycotoxins, Plant Toxins, Heavy Metals and Nitrogenous Compouds, Processing Contaminants in food (3) Method development and validation in the field of food contaminants (4) Participation in EU activities, actions, projects and networking.
