Mission: The research lab team of Water and Health studies the relationships between various environmental factors and chronic disease using the framework of the human exposome. Objectives: revolve around the assessment of human exposures to environmental stressors as they relate to metabolic health outcomes, and towards the development of advanced biomonitoring and metabolomics methodologies for measuring the exposome, with a focus on endocrine disruptors, e.g. developing and applying novel human biomonitoring and metabolomics protocols, incorporating agnostic, systematic and high throughput approaches towards a refined disease etiology, conducting personal exposure assessment as well as epidemiologic studies for the assessment of the human exposome.
