Description: A system that produces pure ASTMII quality water, according to ISO3696, which is used for cleaning laboratory glassware, feeding devices such as liquid sterilization furnaces and feeding an ASTMI type ultrapure water production system.
Units: 1
Hosting Laboratory / Department: Laboratory of Animal Health
The produced water is used for cleaning laboratory glassware, feeding devices such as liquid sterilization furnaces and in serological and molecular techniques.
Uses steam under pressure to kill harmful bacteria, viruses, fungi, and spores on items that are placed inside the pressure container to be sterilized.
Description: An enclosed, ventilated with HEPA filters laboratory workspace for the safe working with materials contaminated with pathogens requiring a defined biosafety level.
Units: 5
Hosting Laboratory / Department: Laboratory of Animal Health
For performing cell cultures and virological isolations and providing DNA and RNA contaminant-free environment through HEPA filters and UV decontamination system for the molecular techniques.
Description: Thermo Shandon Sequenza Immunostaining Center
Independent timers for each of the five stations help organize procedures and reduce user error. Uses the Coverplate™ system which ensures consistency and excellent staining quality Allows the user to perform large immunostaining runs (up to 50 slides/run) giving excellent reproduction consistency Frees considerable technician time for other tasks Substantial reagent savings in both immunoreagents and buffer rinse compared to other hand-staining methods Protects tissue specimens from drying artifact
