Mission: The Linear Fresnel Collector aims to demostrate the integration of solar soultion close to the end users in the built environement by passing the use of electricity that is mainly relying on fossil fuels in Cyprus. The Collector whci is associated to an absoption chiller can supply cooling to an adjacent building in teh summer. Heating is directly supplied in the winter. A thermal storage unit in between allows the supply even in cloudy conditions.
Objective: the objective of teh collector is to be a pilot plant for further deployement in the island for different industrial processes requireing heat to dacabonize it.
